Figuring out the shape of the back of the VIcky.

I worked today on trying to figure out how I wanted the shape of the rear panel on the Vicky. After a few tries I think I got the shape that I'm looking for.

Got all the sections tacked together on the Vicky.

I worked today on getting all the sections tacked back together. I'll work next on making the back panel and corners.

Got the section removed on the Vicky

I worked this morning on getting the rest of the pieces removed on the Vicky. I can't believe how much better it looks with that section removed. So much more proportional.

Started laying out the cuts for the top on the Vicky.

It took some careful planning but I got all my sections marked up on the top. I'll be removing 4" out of the sides to bring the rear of the roof forward. I started making the cuts, and I'll finish making them tomorrow and start putting the roof back together.

Cutting up the back of the Vicky.

I started working on shortening up the rear of the vicky. Its trim...test fit...trim...test fit...until it gets close to fitting.

Got the 34' Vicky sandblasted.

I got the 34' vicky back from the sandblasters the other day. The car came out really clean! Its always nice to start with this nice of sheet metal.

Also scored a bottom back section from my buddy off of a 34' 4 door sedan. The lower bead into the wheel wells is the same as a 33' vicky. So I can use that piece to graft onto the car, and that will save me a lot of fabrication time.

New 1934 Vicky Build!!!

Hi everyone. I've got in another build here at the shop, and this one is going to be a neat one. Its an original 1934 Vicky, a really rare car and to make it even more rare its from England.

This build will be neat beacause were going to be doing a little cosmetic changes to the back of the car. We both agree that the original look of the trunk and the panel below it looks a little goofy. So were going to be removing the trunk and making the back just like a 33' Vicky. Other than that I'm just doing all the metal work to fix any rust and dents. Then we'll be putting it on a brand new TCI frame. Keep checking back for updates on this one.

Mounting the engine in the Phaeton.

I got started today on mocking up the engine and transmission in the Phaeton. There are a lot of things to make sure of before I get it mounted for sure, but its going to be somewhere right around where it is now.

Got the drivers front door patched on the Phaeton.

I finished up working out the dents and patching the drivers front door on the phaeton today. The door had lots of dents like the others, and it had some rust on the bottom. So I got the dents worked out first and then I made a patch for the rust and got that welded in.

Next is to get the body sandblasted and do any patching on it.
